MOVE TO NEW PREMISES
April was an extremely exciting, but hectic month at RBI as it saw our move to new premises. Our UK base is now located in the Fernacre Business Park, Romsey, Hampshire. This location has given us fantastic production facilities and also offices and conference suites. We have a considerable amount of space split over two levels, all designed to our own specifications. Our new facilities will enable us to continue to expand and keep pace with our increased orders. If you are ever in the area, please do feel free to pop in and see us – we would be delighted to show you around.
HELICOPTER ASSOCIATION INTERNATIONAL
The HAI Show held in California in February, attended by Allan Ross, Paul Jackson and Adrian Jackson, turned out to be a fantastic show for Red Box International. Our hosts and agents in the USA, HeliMart made us feel very welcome and had an extremely well presented and eye catching stand. The show was attended by customers and suppliers from all around the World and we didn’t mind at all that we barely had time to catch our breath because of the number of people who showed an interest in the Red Box product range. Even though HAI was an aviation show we were overwhelmed by the interest in our camera and security products. Thanks again to all the team at HeliMart for making the show such a success for us.
NEW ADDITION TO THE TEAM
We are delighted to welcome Phil Horn to the Red Box team. Phil has joined us as Sales Administrator and will be working closely with Adrian. We hope that once he finds his feet that Phil will become well known to all our customers and will, in time, become one of your main points of contact. Phil’s career has spanned the areas of catering and retail management and we are sure will be a valuable member of our busy team. Married to Sally, Phil plays golf and likes to keep fit. He is currently studying towards university entrance where he is hoping to read history – all this as well as working for Red Box! Phil says “Adrian and I have worked together in the past so I am confident that our skills will complement our working relationship. Red Box is a fantastic company that continues to expand and I am looking forward to contributing to its future growth.”

RED BOX INTERNATIONAL AND THE ‘SNAKE CAM’
There aren’t many businesses that are able to say they have a product that really does contribute to saving lives. However, tucked away in the Fernacre Business Park, Romsey, Hampshire, is a company called Red Box International. Red Box International supplies the intriguingly named ‘Snake Cam’ camera system to organisations across the world. The “Snake Cam’ isn’t the slippery customer you imagine it to be, but a search camera that is used in many types of rescue situations. ‘Snake Cam’ would have been used by the UK Disaster Response Team in their work helping with the Tsunami disaster. It is used extensively by the British Police, in particular the Metropolitan Police, and was no doubt used to search the area around Windsor Castle prior to the Royal Wedding. Many other Services use the product in their work, including the Fire Services, British Army divers, HM Customs and the Hampshire Constabulary Fire Arms Team. A family company in the true sense of the word, Red Box is run by Allan and Frances Ross and sons, Adrian and Paul Jackson. Managing Director, Allan Ross, says “I still find it amazing to hear stories of the way our “Snake Cam’ is used and never cease to be proud that our product actually does contribute not only to saving lives, but also to helping keep people safe and secure in so many different situations.”
